If while trying to login to your FTP account via the popular FTP client Filezilla to our legacy hosting environment and you receive the following error,
Error: GnuTLS error -8: A packet with illegal or unsupported version was received.
Status: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted".
Error: Could not connect to server
You can fix this with a slight change to your connection settings:
- Click Edit
- Settings
- Connection
- Under TLS options, set this to TLS 1.0
You should now be able to connect without the error.
