Anti-Virus

Anti-Virus or AV is the common name for software which seeks to protect computer or data from exploit. Modern AV software often extends beyond just file signatures and heuristics to prevent bad-files; with phishing, theft, encryption, spam and configuration protection being common features. AV scanning is typically of two types, real-time being the detection of threats as they are attempted to be placed on a computer and schedule based scanning being the detection of threats which already exist on a computer.

Pipe Ten is vendor agnostic but typically deploys ESET Endpoint and File System Security solutions for its customers as a trusted partner for many years.
