Quality of Service

Quality of Service or QoS is how successful delivery of a service is measured from the perspective of an end user. In networking terms QoS can also refer to using a set of technologies to shape and prioritise certain traffic types to the available bandwidth so as to maintain the user experience.

Pipe Ten uses QoS to monitor the delivery of service to customers / ensure we are meeting our SLA, and in a very limited sense uses QoS to ensure some services are not overloaded resulting in impact to others.
